How to add comments to a Single Template?

Hello,

I’m creating a single layout in Pro for specific posts, and I’d like to continue to allow comments on the posts like I was on my previous theme. I see no option in the Layout Settings to enable comments, and so I’ve tried using the different Comment Elements available in Cornerstone, but the only one that seems to Display the Comments and add the Comment form is the “Comment List” element, and it looks like this:

adding this element adds the form, good, but it shows existing comments twice… Once with a bad looking white background design, and once looking ok.

How can I fix this so it doesn’t show the one in the top?

Thanks for writing in! The Single layout template must not display the default comment template. May we check your layout? I wonder why it behaves like that.

And yes, you will need the Comment prefab element when building in Cornerstone.

Thank you for sharing the login details. Upon investigation, it appears there may be a plugin conflict with the “WP Review Pro” plugin. To get rid of the issue, could you please try deactivating the “WP Review Pro” plugin and then check it again.

Thank you for your response. I changed the following option in the WP Review Pro setting:

I guess this setting was causing this. Adding the elements in Cornerstone looks ok now:

Related to this, how can I customize the default comment template? Is this possible?

Regretfully, there is no option at the moment; it would require custom development, which falls outside our standard theme support scope. I recommend reaching out to a developer for assistance with custom work, or consider subscribing to ONE, where customization-related queries are answered.
