How to add a recent posts section in the footer?

Hi! I’d like some help with adding in a recent posts section to my footer (as seen in the screenshot below)

Hey @Nalwi,

You can add the Recent Post shortcode in the Text element. You can see the setup of the Recent Post shortcode here https://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/recent-posts/

Or, you can use the Classic Recent Post element in place of the Text element.

Hope that helps.

Hi @christian
I have tried adding in the postcode in a text element as suggested, but it comes out too big and it cuts over into the next container. Please see the attached screenshot. What are the best ways to resolve this? As I’d like for my footer to look neat have have 3 equally sized containers

Hi @Nalwi,

Can you please clarify what is the issue you are having with the recent post shortcode.
Footer in your website is still showing (Insert recent post shortcode here). Can you please add the shortcode and let us examine.

Alternatively, you can add a Widget area element in place of the text element and select the widget area, where the Recent Post widget added.
For this you just follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Appearance > Widget
  2. Add recent Post widget to any of the predefined widget areas.
  3. Add the Widget Area element to the Footer.
  4. Select a specific widget area, where the Recent Post widget added.

Just remember that Recent Post widget does not have the post image to show like the recent post element.

Hope it helps.

Thanks

Hi @tristup,

I am struggling with the footer as I am trying to make it look like my old website (as seen in the screenshot). Could you please do this and make it look like the screenshot below? I will add the website details in a secure note.

I’d like for it to appear like this in the mobile view as well

Hello @Nalwi,

Instead of creating a 3 column container in your footer bar, use only one container. I would highly recommend that you go to Pro > Global Blocks first. Design a section with 3 columns in it. This should give you much control for the different screen sizes. Once you are done with your global block, insert the global block in your footer container.

Hope this helps.
