If you would like to add a login button then you can add a new custom menu from Appearance > Menus. After that you can style the menu as a button using custom CSS. Please take a look at the screencast that I have recorded for you to get started. https://cloudup.com/cjkyq1pPr03

Here is the CSS code:

li#menu-item-1925 {
    background-color: #ddd;
}

li#menu-item-1925 a {
    color: #000;
}

In above code, please make sure to replace menu id.
