How to add a link to a Mega Menu Toggle

Hi there!
We really love the new Mega Menu functionality of PRO!

But we asked ourselves if it is possible to add a link to the Toggle Element (like it is possible to use an <a> element for a column…). This would improve the UX a lot. We tried do implement the <a> element into the primary text but then the Mega Menu itself doesn’t work anymore

Hello Max,

Thanks for writing in! The toggle will trigger to open the modal, dropdown, or the off-canvas. It is not supposed to be a link. If you were able to modify it, it can only result in an issue. It is best that you place your link inside the megamenu columns instead. By the way, please provide your page or site that has the megamenu so we cannot check it out.

Unfortunately placing the links inside the mega menu results in an no-event-click for a lot of customers that just like to klick on the main menu point. UberMenu allows this feature so it can’t be a technical problem to implement a solution that works.

I will send you the links to the current site with UberMenu and our Staging Development with PRO MegaMenu in a secure note as i dont like everyone to access them

Best example: Click on “Shop” should open the shop page and toggle the MegaMenu. It would be nice if you could help me with a custom solution or tell me if this feature is planned for the next updates.

Please understand that the Toggle button gets triggered by a click to open the dropdown. It cannot serve both opening the page and toggle the Megamenu. You can make it as a link but use hover to open the dropdown. In your Megamenu settings, set the Trigger to “Hover”.

To add a link, find the “Customize” tab in the Megamenu settings and add the following custom Toggle Attribute:

By opening the dropdown on hover, the link will work.
