How to accomplish a mosaic photo gallery in a Row such that

Some advice please: I would like to put a mosaic grid-like photo gallery into a Content row such that:

  • the tiles of the gallery can vary in both width and height
  • the gallery can be populated automatically by selecting a number of photos to go in it
  • the gallery can then be edited to manually change the order and size of the individual contents of each cell
  • a cell could contain another gallery which links to that gallery’s page; or a video, or post, or text, etc.
  • if an individual photo in one of the cells of this mosaic grid is clicked, it will bring up a lightbox which shows all the individual photos (if it shows other kinds of cell contents that would be a bonus).

This would be theoretically possible if I could insert a fully functional gallery created with a plugin having the functionality I want (e.g., NextGen Gallery, see my other post about that). Is there another way? Does the famous “The Grid” plugin that comes with Pro have this kind of functionality built in? Is there an existing Element I could use?
If you could point me in the right direction, maybe give me a couple options to look into, I’d really appreciate it; would save me so much time. Thanks.

Hey thanks, that’s a good video. Looking forward to watching more. I usually prefer just a document that I can read or scan quickly to see if I want to spend the time on it, but that video was well worth the time and I hope the others are too. Thanks again.
