I have an active license yet I am stuck on an old version.

Hello Miguel,

Thanks for writing in! There is no function or feature in WordPress that will automatically update the theme or plugins. You will see the automatic updates in Dashboard > Updates. The update notice allows you to have time to back up your site before doing the WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates by selecting the item to update before hitting the “Update” button.
