Hi could I have some instructions how to make the keep in touch panel in the Crafty Footer active?

Thanks for writing in! The form in the footer of the Crafty demo is just a placeholder for the fields. You will need to create the form right in your Form plugin depending on what plugin you are using. For some guidance, please check out our Video Tutorial Series in creating the forms:
