How do I set the Page Template in the header builder?

My home page is using a page that has no header or footer. I want to keep it that way.

I also want to start designing the header and footer now for a time when that will no longer be the case.

The problem I am having that when I go into the header builder (X Pro) it gives me a warning saying it can’t display the header because the page template I am using does not display a header…

Sure that makes sense. But I how do I change it to use a page template that DOES show the header without also changing my home page?

I tired creating another page, one that displays the header and footer, but when I open the header builder it goes back to using my home page that doesn’t have those things. And it shows me that warning again.

Hi @thecashbag,

Thank you for writing in, there is no other way around it but you need to un-assign that header to your homepage first. Then just assign it back after you finish editing the header.
