I’d like to use the google maps element so I can show a pin on certain locations i’ll update, but it says google can’t load google maps. How do i fix this? thanks.
I see that it requires an API key, and I set one up on google maps and pasted it into the map element but it’s still giving me the error that it can’t load google maps.

I don’t see a map added to your home page so I couldn’t check the error. Please go to the page where you’ve added the map and press F12 in your keyboard and under the Console tab, check the error that Google Maps displays. The error message usually displays a description about the cause of the issue and it includes a link for more details. You should visit the link or contact Google Maps support to learn why your API is not working.
The Google Maps element will work provided your API does not have problems. The most common setting users miss is the API restriction. Please check your restriction settings and see if your site is allowed to use your API.
If the your API still won’t work, just know that you can opt to use the Map Embed type.
With that method, simply grab the embed code from Google Maps and paste it in the Embed Code box.
