I have a bar under the main bar and no matter what I do I can’t figure out how to keep it from only being revealed when scrolling down the page, and then hiding when you scroll back up. I just want it to sit still like the one above it. It took a while to get the one above it to quit shrinking, which I figured out was the sticky shrink amount. Now I’m trying to z-index to keep things on top of the right things and I just want that second bar to stay still. Thank you!
Hi,
You can set your bar to hide initially.
See screenshot

I don’t want it to be hidden at all - I just want it to be there in place at the top like the bar above it. Whether you scroll or anything else I want it to just sit still and be there.
Hi There,
That is the default behaviour of bar. It displays by default. In case you have set Hide initially to ON, then disable it, that issue might happen if you do have caching. After disabling try to clear cache. If this is not the case, we need to check your setup. Please provide the following:
- Site URL
- Username
- Password
- Header with issue / Bar
That worked, must have been a caching issue.
Though that bar is there from the start, it scrolls under the top bar and then comes back. I just want it to stay. You can see it at:
https://www.advancedbiology.com/lab/
Also, strangely, if you will notice (and you can refresh the page to see it) the heading “the lab” starts as a fat font and then flashes to change to the correct font which is thinner. What’s up with that?

Hello There,
Thanks for updating in! Please be advised that there is a known issue of the fixed bar in the header at the moment. At the moment, the bar needs to touch the topmost part of the page before the fixed top bar kicks in which is why it scrolls under the first bar and come back later as fixed below the 1st bar. We’ve already added this to our issue tracking list so that it will just stick below the first bar without vanishing from the view when you scroll the page. Once our developers resolve this issue, it will be updated and rolled out in the next update release.
By the way, I could not replicate the issue with the fat font upon loading. I am just seeing the thinner font.
Best Regards.
Awesome, thank you! The font issue persists, in Chrome when you first load the page the font is fat and then a second or so later it changes to the correct thin font.
Hello There,
I now noticed the fat font going to a thin font. This issue happened because in your text element, you have a bigger based font size than the text font size. Please edit the text and make adjust the based font size and the text font size.
Hope this helps.
I guess I don’t understand. I made the base font size 1.75em and the text font size 1.75em which made the text approximately the size I originally intended, but it still starts bold and then flashes to the correct thinner font. Am I doing this wrong?
Hello There,
The fat font puzzled me as well. After a few tries of switching the font family in Pro > Launch > Options > Typography, I was able to resolved the issue.
Please check your site now.
Awesome! Thank you so much!!!
Glad that we could be of a help
