How do I enable Font Awesome icon groups

Hi there, I have searched for this but I cant find anything. I’m editing a page and I’m using some icons and I went to change them and I’m getting a message that says I cant.
I used them in the past to create the page, so i dont understand whats happened and i cant find any links or menus that lets me enable it. the message i get is below

No Icons Available
You currently have all Font Awesome families disabled.
To utilise the icon picker again you will need to enable at least one icon group.

Hey Peter,

Go to Theme Options > Miscellaneous and enable the Font Awesome families you need to use.

Hi there,
Theme Options > Miscellaneous just gives me options about the scroll top anchor position and nothing else.
Am i missing something? its strange because I was able to use them the last time i was using the site.

Unfortunately i cant give access as I’m working on a local host

Hi Peter,

Is the Pro version on the site you are working on at least in version 3.1.0? Because if you are using an older version, you might not see the options under Miscellaneous as mentioned:

So kindly make sure to update your theme version.

No Im using X not Pro. I did download it but decided not to use it for the site I was working on. But like i said I was using the icons but now they have stopped working.

Ok so I Just upgrade it to Pro and its working again now.

Hi Peter,

Glad things sorted out on your end. Since we can not investigate your local site, I’ll give you couple of things why that might happen.

  • First is the one Christian suggested above, all your Font Awesome might have been disabled on Theme Options > Miscellaneous
  • Second, is your version of X and Cornerstone is not compatible, you might have updated X, but leave Cornerstone behind or vice versa.
  • Third is caching, your caching might have been cleared when you switch to PRO and that clearing of cache resolved the issue, rather than the switching of the Theme.
