How do I change the banner on top of the nav bar?

screenshot-180.210.203.61-2020.08.05-16_16_49 I used the Benevolence template but can’t figure out how to change the banner on top of the top nav bar. I already have the new banner all ready to go, I just can’t find the place to insert the short code, pls help!

Hi Jade,

Thank you for writing in, hope you’re fine today. That banner is a slider and it was set on the page itself as a featured Slider Above Masthead. Please follow the following documentation for more details.

Append Sliders to Your Header

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

They asked me to go here in header, but like I showed you in my first post, there’s no such field

Am I in the right header menu?

Also I notice that the “Give” page is permanently highlighted. How do I remove the highlight?

Hey Jade,

The Slider Above Masthead setting could have been hidden. If you’re using the WordPress Classic Editor, open the Screen Options in the WordPress Page Editor and check the Slider Settings Above Masthead box.

If you’re using the WordPress Block Editor, click the Options menu and then check the Slider Settings Above Masthead box.

If none of that helps, please provide the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Regarding the menu, it’s part of the Benevolence demo. It’s powered by the menu-item-fill class. Remove that class in the menu to remove the highlight.

If the CSS Classes field is not available on your end, go to Appearance > Menu and click on Screen Options then check the CSS Classes box.

Hope that helps.

Both worked, thank you very much!

Glad that we could be of help.

Cheers!
