How do I add Javascript to the body content

I’m trying to add a LinkedIn Insight Tag to each page of my site. This is the instructions they’ve provided: Add the JavaScript code to every page on your domain, preferably right before the end of the tag in the global footer.

How do I do this? Should I add the code to the footer? I have no clue how to go about this so if you could provide a very detailed explanation I would be very grateful! Thanks!
