How can i transfer a license of a client w/o the client having purchased a theme?

I’m helping a client with their website. The old developer left. I want to transfer the license to their own ownership, not mine. Is it possible for them to create a ThemeCo / Apex account for a license transfer w/o having purchased a license themselves?

Thanks!

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Yes it maybe possible. Please post the license code in your next reply so that we can remove it from your account and when it is remove, they can create a ThemeCo/Apex account using that license.

Please let us know how it goes.

@RueNel its not my account but i will ask the web developer to go into apex/themeco and ask the the developer to request license transfer.

Will the web developer need to offer you guys an email for the account to be connect with?

Hi There,

The owner of the license can de-attach of his account himself in case he has purchased PRO on https://theme.co/apex/licenses and if it is X he needs to provided us the license number so we can deattach the license for him.

The new user will use the license number to register a new Apex account.

Hope it helps

Yes but can someone create a ThemeCo/Apex account to receive the detached license in the meantime?

Hey There,

Anyone can create a ThemeCo/Apex account as long as he has a purchased code from ThemeForest. That is why we are asking for a license code so that we can detach it from your account or the developers account. Once it is detached, it can be used to register a new account.

Hope this explains it briefly.

Thanks @RueNel !

last question, is there any code i can create that will tie the length of the iframe automatically to take up the entire screen but stay above the fold?

Hi there,

That is usually possible with custom Javascript code which is outside of our support scope, But a partial solution is the CSS method. You can try the CSS code below:

iframe {height: 100vh;}
