How can I customize the hover effect on "recent posts" shortcode to display custom text instead of the default icon?

On hover of a “recent posts” item, the item shows an overlay with a document icon.
Is it possible instead to display some custom text? Perhaps something added via ACF Pro?
I wanted the user to be able to hover and see a short description of the post.

Hi There,

Unfortunately having dynamic texts would not be possible. You can switch the icon for a text which would apply to every post by adding the following CSS to Theme options CSS

.x-recent-posts .format-standard .x-recent-posts-img:before {
content: url(http://yoganamaste.tv/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/YN_website_logo1.jpg);
}

Alternatively, you can use The Grid Plugin which allows you different layouts and will allow you to show the post name on hover.
