How can I add mailchimp html to post

Hi guys,

We send out a quarterly newsletter to our audience via MailChimp. I would like to keep a “newsletter” category in our posts and display each newsletter that was sent.

I tried to simply add the HTML code Mailchimp provides for the newsletter but when I try to safe it says updating failed.

When I preview it shows correct but it will not save. :frowning:
Is this not possible or do you recommend a different route?

thanks

Hello @LucyKeile,

Thanks for writing in! When inserting a custom html code in Gutenberg, please use the Custom HTML formatting block. See the screenshot below:

We would love to know if this has worked for you. Thank you.

that is how I am doing but it wont save. :frowning:

Hi Lucy,

In that case, would you mind providing the site’s URL and admin login credentials in the secure note?

Just letting you know that we can’t promise any solution, since Gutenberg nor the code you’re adding aren’t part of our product. We’ll check if the cause is cornerstone or the theme, for the meantime, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes!

Ok, I posted a secure note - even with the MailChimp code - looks weird…
It previews correctly on WP.

Let me try your suggestion of deactivating plugins

That still doesn’t work, can I just use cornerstone and add the code there? I really don’t want to add another plugin to do this

Hello @LucyKeile,

The given credentials has a very limited privileges. We cannot test for a conflict or even edit a page.
For the meantime, please take note that your code is an email template. Even if it can be displayed in Cornerstone, it will still not fully work because the code container tags that only the MailChimp or the email client software can understand. You may need further assistance from MailChimp.

Best Regards.

I am sorry, I just notice you had no role. I have changed to admin.

I tried adding the code to cornerstone but displays weird. There is 2 posts you can check.

Hello @LucyKeile,

It will display weird because it is an email template. You may need a 3rd party plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/olalaweb-mailchimp-campaign-manager/ or any equivalent or recommend plugin by MailChimp. You may ask the creators of MailChimp if they have a recommend plugin for your to use.

Cheers.

Thanks - had to get a paid subscription with MailChimp, I don’t want to use this plugin because it has not been updated for a year. MailChimp doesn’t recommend any 3rd party plugin, I’ve asked.

I am looking to show archive campaigns. Thanks for trying to help me.

@LucyKeile,

We are glad that you already sorted out your problem.

Thank you.

not really resolved. I still don’t know what to do. How can I share my newsletters on my website - there must be a solution…

Hi @LucyKeile,

Sorry, but we won’t be able to provide support on this, as this is a 3rd party feature. But please follow the link below, it might help.

Add an Email Campaign Archive to Your Website

Thank you for understanding,
