How can I add downloadable file.exe

I have a major problem with this packed file. It is in form filename.exe as a packed file that customers could download when clicking support enquiry.

Thanks for writing in!

You have the option of uploading .exe file on Dropbox and then link the same to either button or as per your own requirement so when user clicks on that they will be redirected to Dropbox download page wherein users can download the file.

This is a good option but the client company cannot see Dropbox safe enough for their business :frowning:
Therefore I am not able to use that way.
Still trying to search for a solution to get that file into WP for downloading.

Thanks for updating the thread.

In that case you can upload the file on to the server where website is hosted and use the direct URL to link to the button. However, most of the server’s don’t allow .exe file storage on there infracture because of security issues.

Maybe you can compress the file in a zip or rar archive and then upload the same to the server using Filezilla. Once the file is downloaded users will have to extract the file to see the .exe file.
