How can I add a "highlight" (<mark>) button to tinyMCE in pro editor?

Hi there I’ve been looking for a solution to add a highlight () function into the tinyMCE.
It could be integrated as a button or a selection from the text format dropdown.

The common solution won’t work because it is “intentionally removed to prevent conflicts. So that code will not work.” (quote from this forum).

Is there a fix for this or a workaround?

Just hoped there would have been a workaround in the meantime because the last post addressing this was from 2019
