As has been posted before the amount of cpu usage is abnormally high and is quite annoying as it causes my fans to spool up to cool the machine down. (2014 macbook pro i7 2.5) Any update on the issue. I have updated X and cornerstone as suggested in https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-causing-high-cpu-usage-constantly/14363/2 . Are you mining crypto currencies with the machines or what, there should be a logical explanation to this and no reason for this much resource usage.

X and Cornerstone does not cause CPU usage in any of my test sites. What is your setup? Are you hosting your site yourself? What other programs are running in your server and browser? The more details you can give us, the better.
Please note that X and Cornerstone are software that runs in your own machine. It is not connected to our servers except for server updates that you have a choice to install.

@christian_y Okay thanks for that response. It makes sense for the system usage if it’s being run in the browser locally. I’ve notice more cpu usage on firefox 58.0.2 Vs safari so i have been using safari more for the time being. I have hosting space on a server with hostgator, which is running multiple other wordpress instances.

Do you have many tabs open at the same time on your browser? Also some sites tend to cause that, but Cornerstone, X theme or Wordpress does not.
