Hiding/removing the default 'Hello World'/'Recent Posts' blog page whilst constructing my Header

Dear ThemeCo people,

I’m in the process of slowly learning how to build my website, and I’ve got a question about the default ‘Hello World’ blog page, which I want to remove (or hide) while I work on constructing the header for my site.

I’ve attached a screenshot, where you can see the default Blog page encroaching upon my header.

Ideally I would like to just have the section below the header blank (white), so I can see how the header will look. My plan is for the header to be ‘overlaid’ on an image that goes up to the very top of the page. (I’ve attached another screenshot to give you an idea of what I mean).

Thanks very much for your help, and apologies if these questions have obvious answers!

Regards,
Andrew Harrison

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for reaching out.
The Hello World is a default post and comes with the WordPress installation. If you want to remove it, you can delete it from the WordPress admin dashboard Post menu. Regarding header blank (white), it is not clear what exactly you want to achieve here. Can you please clarify it a bit?

Thanks

Thanks Tristup. I think I’ll play around with things a bit more, and see if I can’t solve my problem.
Cheers
Andrew
