Hide post on blog index page

Hi, I have a post that I have set to private, I assumed it wouldnt show on the blog index page but it does. How do I make it so it doesnt appear here?

Hi there,

That should be fine. You are seeing the private post on the blog page because you are a logged in admin user.

Users that are not logged in will not see drafts and private posts.

Hope this explains it.
