Hide post meta for Custom Post Types?

I’ve tried to remove the .p-meta info from my custom post types through the customizer to no avail. Any suggestions to remove the author and only display MONTH + YEAR / [Category]

Hi There,

Try this custom CSS:

    display: none;
}```
See this screencast on how to get the correct selector: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbjF6YlswI
On the body tag, there's specific class for certain custom post type: **single-east_coast_posts**. Then those meta has main container parapraph tag with class **p-meta**. Inside that p-meta, there's three span tag. We hide the first span tag which contains the author.

Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for responding. Unfortunately, that’s not working when I enter it in the customizer > global css

Hi there,

The code above will work only for single posts of the East Cost post type. If you want to have it removed for archive page also you need to change the CSS code to:

.post-type-archive-east_coast_posts p.p-meta span:first-of-type,
.single-east_coast_posts p.p-meta span:first-of-type {
display: none;
}

Also, I suggest that you add the code to Pro > Launch > Theme Options > CSS instead of the Customizer.

If you still do not see the BURBBUZZ option going away from meta section kindly try to clear any kind of cache you may have on your website or contact your hosting service provider to purge any kind of cache they may have imposed.

Thank you.

Thanks, but that is still not working. I did purge the caches as well.

Any other ideas?

Hi There,

Please update the CSS code to this:

.single-essex_posts p.p-meta span:first-of-type,
.single-east_coast_posts p.p-meta span:first-of-type,
.post-type-archive-east_coast_posts p.p-meta span:first-of-type,
.post-type-archive-essex_posts p.p-meta span:first-of-type {
    display: none;
}

Still nothing.

Hi,

There is a missing close bracket in your css code that is causing the issue.

You forgot to close this.

/*
//blog.
*/

@media (max-width: 979px) {
     .hide-mob {
         display:none;
      }

It should be

/*
//blog.
*/

@media (max-width: 979px) {
     .hide-mob {
         display:none;
      }
}

I went ahead and fix it.

Kindly check in your end.

Thanks
