Hide menu bar for x miliseconds

Hi there!

Is there a was to hide the navigation bar for x amount of miliseconds on the front page?
I want to hide it during my first slide of revolution slider.

Thanks!

Sander

I saw one solution, that displays the bar AFTER you scroll down. Maybe not what you intend, but here it is:

Add custom CSS: .home .x-navbar {
visibility: hidden;
top: -200px;
transition: all 300ms linear;
}

.home .x-navbar.x-navbar-visible {
visibility: visible;
top: 0;
transition: all 300ms linear;
}

.home .x-navbar .x-container.max.width {
width: 95%;
max-width: 100%;
}

And also add custom javascript:

jQuery(function($) {

var $body = $(‘body’);
var $navbar = $(’.x-navbar’);

if ( $body.hasClass(‘home’) && $body.hasClass(‘x-navbar-fixed-top-active’) && $navbar.length > 0 ) {

var boxedClasses = '';

if ( $body.hasClass('x-boxed-layout-active') ) {
  boxedClasses = ' x-container max width';
}

$(window).scroll(function() {
  console.log(navbarOffset());

  if ( $(this).scrollTop() >= navbarOffset() ) {
    $navbar.addClass('x-navbar-visible' + boxedClasses);
  } else {
    $navbar.removeClass('x-navbar-visible' + boxedClasses);
  }

});

}

function navbarOffset() {
return $(’.x-slider-container.below’).outerHeight() / 2;
}

});

Hello Sander,

Thanks for writing in! Please follow the suggestions of @MacMartino with all his codes and everything. If it doesn’t work out for you, would you mind providing the url of your site so that we can take a closer look?

Regards.
