I’m using hide during breakpoint frequently to make sure that my site is served up in the best way possible. But our SEO company is a little concerned about it. The fact that, for example, a menu item in the header may only appear once, but could appear multiple times in the source code. Because, even though the user can’t see it as it’s hidden for them, it’s still visible to Google. How do you address that?
Hello Steven,
Thanks for writing in!
Duplicate menus in the header do not have impact in SEO. What you must be very careful in using the Hide During Breakpoints feature is when you have it in the page/post contents. Google may tag the page that it has duplicate keywords, headings, descriptions or titles when you have two the same title or text contents that displays different fonts, or widths/heights in different screen sizes.
Hope this helps.
