Hide Download Controls on Video but keep Play/Volume Buttons

Hi there

I can not figure out how to prevent downloads of these videos but keep the ability to play/stop adjust volume. I’ve added the following to the embed code - controls controlsList=“nodownload” - but that removes all the functions and you cant play the video.

I am using aws S3 buckets, the videos are both available through a membership stream only and through a WooCommerce shop with a download code.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, I can’t check it since it’s a member page that needs login, you can try checking this Hide download button on embedded video player? as well.

Then please provide your site’s login credentials in the secure note for further testing. And it all depends on the embed code too so we can’t promise any solution.

Ok so using the player rather than the embed with no controls works, but you can still right click and have the option to download, is there anyway of removing this to?

Ok sorted, I’ve found a way to turn off right click and hide the download buttons across all the browsers.

Glad it’s configured now, just letting you know that you can’t prevent users from downloading videos. With someone aware of browser tools, they can simply view the source, or media URL and they can download it there.
