Hide all category pages on the front end

Hey there, id like to prevent all front end viewers from seeing any of the pages being populated by categories.

www.[website].com/category/my_category

im using categories to populate an essential grid. I dont want anyone to be able to interact with or see the category pages.

can this be done?

Hey @lifeinthecave,

We need to check your exact setup for us to say if it’s possible or not. Please give us the following info in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

added! thank you!

Hey @lifeinthecave,

There are two ways you can hide all your category archive pages from your site visitors.

Option 1.) You can do a redirect. It means that all the category archive pages will be redirected to a particular page or just your homepage. Please check out this article:

Option 2.) Since you are using the Pro theme, you can simply go to Cornerstone > Layout Builder and create an archive layout. You can design whatever you want for this layout that it might look like a landing page. You can then assign this layout to be displayed in all archives so that every time a visitor goes into a category archive link, this layout will be displayed.
