Hero Image to overlay with

Hi there,

I used Slider Revolution to give my website a hero image and I want to create an overlay with the header, I have set the header position to absolute, gave it opacity and set up my hero image, it works except for the fact that it only goes half way up the header.

I have attached a screen shot to show what I mean

I have made sure that the margin is set to 0 in Slider Revolution and can’t work out why this happening, please assist?

Regards,
Sean

Hi Sean,

Instead of setting the image as a layer on Rev Slider, why don’t you just set the large image as the slider background?

That way, you would be able to add the text and other layers over it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jade,

I think you have miss understood me, the image is the background image of the slide the overlay I am referring to is the overlay from the themes header that I made.

My issue is that when I add it and set the position of the header to be absolute the image only comes half way up the nav bar, I need to to stretch to the top. You can see what I mean in the image attached.

Hey @Tarapaige,

Please give us the URL of your page so we could see the actual setup. I see the URL in the screenshot but it is not clear.

Thanks.

I managed to fix it.

Hey Sean,

The issue is because of the section’s padding. I’m referring to the section where you placed your slider. Set all of your section’s padding to 0.

Hope that helps.
