Help with Pro Header Styling Please!

Hi, this is only the second time I’ve used Pro - the first time put me off, but I’ve had to use it this time because of doing a more customised header for an eCommerce site!

I’m using Pro 2.5.5 – I’m not going to update it til the issues have been sorted out with the latest release!

I’m finding it really confusing to build a header with Pro and have come across a few things I have no idea how to sort and I’m hoping you’ll be able to help me out please!

I’ve took a screen grab and made a few notes on it referring to the following issues:

  1. On one of the categories listed in the header, ‘Radiators’, the sub category drop down arrow is hiding behind the text.

  2. When you hover over ‘Radiators’, the first two sub categories have text underneath saying ‘A short category description’ and I have no idea how to get rid of it!

  3. There’s a big gap after the text ‘Electric Heating Elements’ and before the drop down arrow - I don’t know how to reduce the size of the gap.

  4. I’ve tried to change the spacing between the categories but there isn’t an option which I can see, that keeps the category titles split over 2 lines and has equal spacing between each category.

Hi @core365,

Thank you for detailed information. Most of the spacing issue is because on Flex settings. On Menu> Setup > Flexbox: Instead of AUTO, set like 20%. Those 5 links will be equal in width instead.

Regarding the spacing of LINK and ARROW, we can set the FLEX HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT of the link to START. Try it and see the results. Though this will not change much because of how the text is going to the new line. It doesn’t fit on one line/row.

To change subtext, please go to Appearance > Menu. Select the menu in question and remove it as necessary.

Hi @Lely, thanks for the info, however the screencast doesn’t seem to link to anything, it’s just a blank screen when I click on it. I’ve tried to follow what you wrote, but I’m having trouble finding where the various settings are without seeing the screencast, sorry!
