Help with Modern Events Calendar Please!

Hi, I’m using the Modern Events Calendar plugin and I hope you’ll be able to help me as I can’t find the info in any documentation for what I’m trying to do!

I am using the full calendar display, so the calendar shows on the left and then details for the events are listed on the right, For March, I have 2 events listed on different dates, but only 1 event is listed at a time down the right hand side (it shows the first available event). Is it possible when you click on a month, all events are listed down the right hand side instead of having to click onto the days to see what events are available, as I don’t think it’s very clear as to which dates have events.

Thanks for writing in!

Please edit your Full Calendar shortcode and set the default view and the number of events per day. When you select the monthly view, the event list of the left side will display on a day to day basis.

Hi @ruenel,

Thanks for that, however it hasn’t worked I’m afraid! I also told you wrongly, it was the ‘Monthly View’ shortcode not the ‘Full Calendar’, but it’s the Full Calendar skin I was using which is what got me confused! I changed the ‘Events per day’ but it’s still only listing one event down the right hand side. I’ve uploaded a screen grab of the settings for your reference.

Hello @core365,

  • This means that if you only have one event on that day, only one will display because you still have to select the day and the list on the left side will be updated. It will not display events that is not on the same day as indicated on the right side.

Hope this makes sense.

Hi, yep, it makes sense! Is there a way of showing a calendar on the left which shows the current month, and then on the right it lists all events down for that month and not just for the one day that is highlighted? I know that if you do a ‘Yearly View’ it shows all the months in the form of mini calendars to the left and then lists all events for that year on the right, but I’d like that format for one month and not the whole year!

Hello @core365,

The Monthly view will display the dates on the left and the right side will display the list of events on the corresponding dates that you select. There is no way you can display all the events for that month without selecting any day.
