on several of my pages, the forms look great in Cornerstone. However, after being published, they don’t look so great.

The issue is coming from a third party plugin css.

The css is only being added on the front end so it does not happen in cornerstone.
You can remove the white background of your form under Appearance > Customize > Back Customizing ▸ CF7 Customizer > Form Text & BG Colors
Set this to blank
When I try to remove the hex code #ffffff, it just defaults back to it. can’t delete the text in this field.

Please change it to something like #fefefe and see if it can be saved. If you want the default theme styling for the form, you may need to disable Cf7 Customizer plugin.

I changed it to black but it is still not making any difference.

I checked and you changed it to black, but it’s the text color. I also checked the color picker and rgba() and transparent values are not allowed, so yes, you’re only limited to solid colors and you must contact the author of CF7 plugin, it’s something we can’t fix.

It is something you can fix because it’s the plugin you recommend and you fixed it before on another website of mine.

We recommend Contact Form 7 and have tested it with the theme but not CF7 Customizer. It’s a different third party plugin.
Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
