Help creating Blog

I have a client who wants a blog added to their site to match. I add a page, call it blog, set the post to blog in WordPress, but then it will not allow me to use Xpro to edit the page. I set the theme options to Masonry, full width, but it still has that ugly grey background that is standard to Wordpress. I don’t see how I can change it to look like the rest of the site. Is there a plugin or something I can do to achieve this?

Hi @EpiphanyHealth,

You do not have access to the Page Builder for the Archive Pages such as the blog listing page which you set from Settings > Reading.

You need to use the theme options to be able to change some aspects of the archive page, but you will not be able to change everything.

If it is a matter of background color, then you can change the color by adding a CSS code which we can help you to write if you get back to us with the URL of your blog listing page.

Alternatively, you can use the Essential Grid plugin to create a custom grid of your blog posts and add that into a page using the Classic Essential Grid element in the page builder.

You can read more on that by clicking this link.

Thank you.

Thank you, I will look into Essential Grid. If I have issues I will contact you.

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.
