I am using the percentage of VW to set the width of an icon. I want the height to equal that, whatever it is, so that the icon is a square and not a rectangle. Is this possible?

Hello There,

Thanks for posting in! You cannot get the exact square is you use percent. You will need a fixed value unit such as 120px to get an exact width and height.

So there is no way to tell the width to be the same value as the height?

Trying to get the icons under offerings to be responsive at the same time keeping them a circles with equal height and width.

Hey Mike,

That is achievable. Here is the setup.

  1. Your button’s width and height must be the same EM based size.

  1. Your font graphic must also be in EM.

The EM unit is responsive or scalable so the width and height of your button will scale up or down depending on its container’s width. It is best that you put each of your button inside a column.

The font graphic will scale up or down based on the font size you set in Typography.
