Headline vs Classic Headline

Hello,

I have a question. I’m using the Church expanded demo to work off of. I’m experiencing something weird. When I use the classic headline, I get the font that I desire. When I use the “new” headline, I get a different font all-together. Is there a reason for this? I found that in settings I could change the font from Helvetica to the one I have chosen in theme options, and that seemed to work. But the line spacing is different and when I select particular headings, they don’t match from one to the other. Just wanting to know why. Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out.

The classic headline inherits your headline default setting in Theme Option. While the new headline has its own local font styling, you should apply your own headline styling, then save it as preset. Then apply the same preset to your other headlines.

The new headline is like a combination of text element, classic headline, text type element so it can’t just inherit the global headline. The new headlines are usable for templates too which independent to the global setting. You may use classic element
