Can you explain to me why “you’re in good company” and “start automating…” become underlined in the mobile view but not the desktop view?

Issues like that are usually caused by HTML syntax error in the builder. If you notice, there is an text with underline above the “you’re in good company” text. That is the first main suspect.
Inspecting that text in the source code, there’s a HTML syntax error.
Before inserting HTML in your content, please ensure that there’s no syntax errors. You can check your HTML first in tools like http://htmlhint.com/ to detect errors.
