Heading and Body fonts not changing

This might be a silly question, but why haven’t my font’s changed? I changed both the header and body fonts under typography, yet nothing has changed. The changes were done more than a day ago, I’ve dumped my host cache and cleared the cache from my browser, yet I see no changes.

I’m not sure I like the font’s I’ve chosen, but can’t even see how they display yet to be able to change them again. If this happens every time, then my site may have an undesirable font for a period of time while I change again…

Please let me know if I’m missing something here.

Hi @kerridawn,

Thanks for writing in.

As I checked your site, your site is working well. However I could see that your headings won’t change size because they are images. And for your body text you could adjust its font size using the section base font size

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

I assume that you’re referring to the “headings” on the home page? Yes, those are images, but they aren’t the headings I’m talking about.

I’m referring to the headings in regards to H1, H2, H3, etc… I’ve change the font in typography, yet nothing has changed. The same goes for the body font.

I’m not talking about changing the size of the font, I’m talking about the actual font style itself.

I should have been more specific in the link I sent. This is a better example.

Hi,

I can see you have w3 total cache plugin installed. So it’s possible to implement a change, and not have it take place because a cached version of the page or various resources are loading instead of the latest version.

Please clear your plugin cache and browser cache then check again.

Hope that helps

As mentioned in my initial query, my cache has been cleared. Still no font change.

Hi There,

Did you create a font in the Font Manager yet?

Upon checking your website, I could see that the font of headings is Ubuntu:

Can you confirm the font has been changed successfully?

Would you mind providing us with your admin account so we can take a closer look?

Thanks.

Thanks. The font manager was the issue.

I was using Customize -> Typography to change the fonts. I just went to the font manager and it changed immediately.

Now just for future reference, what exactly is the point of the typography font selection if it doesn’t actually change the fonts?

Thanks again!

Hey @kerridawn,

Customize > Typography is disabled or has no use if you’re using the Font Manager. Regretfully, there’s no feature yet that disables Typography in the Customizer in the said scenario. Also, we encourage the use of Theme Options instead of the Customizer.

Thanks.
