Headers, Categories

I have a Woo Commerce category called https://www.martinrayvaughan.com/product-category/gourmet-mains/ and I’ve created a Header just for this page. When I assign a header (called Gourmet Mains) to this product category (see pic attached), it does not show up at:
https://www.martinrayvaughan.com/product-category/gourmet-mains/

Thanks!

Marty

Hi Marty,

Thank you for writing in, please do the following first:

  • Clear all the site caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. While you’re at it, please deactivate this caching feature while we tackle this issue.

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If nothing works, please provide us login credentials in a “Secure Note” so we can take a closer look.

Cheers,

Secure note sent. I checked plugins (I don’t really use any other than default ones for X).

Please advise.

Hey @MartinRayVaughan,

Thanks for the updates. Just for future topics, self-responding or bumping your post pushes it back in our Queue system so it takes longer to respond to. We provide support to our customers 24/7/365 in the Support Forum. Support questions are answered in the order received and responses may take up to 24 hours (typically sooner). Complex questions or busy times may take longer.

We have logged in to your site and we can replicate the issue. We tested the issue on all our local testing servers and we do not encounter such issues. This issue seems specific to your site only. Can you please re-install the Pro theme? You will have to do a manual theme install. You may need to check this documentation guide to know how:

Kindly let us know how it goes.

You CAN or CAN NOT replicate the issue? I’m confused.

I have re-installed the latest version of PRO and this did NOT fix the issue. I also created another header called ‘Photography’ for the photography page (www.martinrayvaughan.com/photography) and this did not work either. I thought maybe this was an issue with product categories only, but now it is a global issue affecting pages and posts.
Any ideas? This is critical to my site.

Hey @MartinRayVaughan,

If we check using your site, we can replicate that the assignments and condition of the headers did not work. If we test the assignments and conditions in our local testing server, it is working on our local test servers.

I’ve taken a closer look and I think I have found it. It seems that the order of the headers has been mixed up. You will have to set a priority to your main header. If you set it to 5, all of your custom headers will work on their assigned pages.

Check your pages now.

THANK YOU!! That seems to be the case.

You are most welcome, @MartinRayVaughan!
