Headers and footers bulk assignment

Hi,

I’m starting to create our corporate website with the theme pro and we will have ~150 pages and hundreds of custom post types. We have 4 different headers and 4 different footers that will need to be assigned to pages and posts.

My question is how can I assign the headers and footers in an automatic/bulk method according to pages/posts category or other identifier.
I don’t think that it is feasible to assign it for each page or post specifically when dealing with professional website that getting updated frequently.

I hope this is something that can be done out of the box as it is very useful but please do let me know if we need to pay for special support to achieve this requirement.

Thanks for writing in!

You can assign the header globally, to all posts, to all pages or individually select the posts or pages. At the moment, we do not have the option that you can assign a header to an archive page or to a post with a particular category. There is already a standing feature request for this though.
