Header Seperator and Font and Color Settings

I’m having a few issues with Cornerstone - first off, how do I add a separator to my header? I have one for my footer and would like one up top too. I tried adding it to the page content instead, but that didn’t look right.

Second, a lot of my font colors seem to be overridden by default settings, and then I have to manually change them everywhere instead of them just pulling from the primary settings. Example: The Title. I have headings set to a specific color and font. When I add the title element (h1), it’s set to the wrong font and color. I have to manually edit each one. Then if I change my mind in the future, I have to go back and edit them all over again. This is really time-consuming and I’m not sure where the issue lies.

Hello @faile486,

Thanks for writing in!

1.) In the header builder, you cannot add a Section element. What you can do is to create a Separator Component element by utilizing the Component builder. Once you have created the component, it would be easier to use the component anywhere on the page.

2.) The Body and Content and the Headings in the Cornerstone > Theme Options will be applied globally. But then when you add a Headline or Text element, these elements have their own default element settings. You can only inherit the font family and the font weight.

If you want to globally update the font settings globally, we highly recommend that you use the Gutenberg editor instead. And if you want to create a custom page design, you must use Cornerstone builder and have to edit each element’s settings within the builder.

Best Regards.
