Header Not Updating From Previous Theme

There seems to be a problem with my header settings, in that X Theme does not seem able to update the header information from the old theme (Primer). This is most evident on my individual blog post pages, where the header has a dark blue background. But it also seems to be causing some spacing/crowding issues between the header and other content.

Here is my site: www.mtnviewcounselling.com . Click on an individual blog post (not the index) to see the blue background that I mentioned.

I spoke with Bluehost/Wordpress support and they tried some things (including updates, including updating the php to latest 7.4), and they said I need to contact X Theme support for this issue. They mentioned something about “login errors” when it came to the header or something.

As you may have guess, this is DIY project for me, so my technical abilities are limited (I can use Cornerstone, but I’m not all familiar with modifying any code manually).

Thanks,
Eli

Bluehost support found the following plug in error log:
[16-Jan-2021 18:21:05 UTC] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home2/elinorma/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/common/class-locator.php:1) in /home2/elinorma/public_html/wp-includes/rest-api/class-wp-rest-server.php on line 1631

Hi Eli,

Thanks for reaching out.
It might be due to the improper up-gradation of the Cornerstone plugin. I would also suggest you follow the below steps while updating to the latest version of the Cornerstone.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone existing one
  2. After deletion please use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone.

If that does not resolve the issue, I would suggest you troubleshot a few common issues on this.

1.Plugin Conflict
2.Theme Update related issue
3.CSS/JS Customization
4.Disabling Cache
5.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above helps and you are still getting the issue, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks
