Header menu main pages not clickable

Hello,

we have two problem with the main menu at the tablet and mobile device.

We are using the pro theme for this website.

  1. There are some main pages in the header menu, which have some subpages. These pages are not clickable at the tablet device (landscape view).

When you click at one page, only the subpages appear.

So it is not possible to enter to the pages “Products”, “Applications” and “Investors”. You can only enter to one of the subpages.

What can we do here, that you can also open the main pages?

  1. At mobile device main menu it is not possible to click the down arrow to open the subpages.

We have already enlarged the arrow, but it is still not good resposible.

How can we make the down arrow better clickable?

Could you help us with these two problems?

Thank you for your support!

Best regards

Maxi

Hi Maxi,

Thank you for writing in, 1) yes I can replicate this issue on my end. The problem here is the Inline Navigation automatically sets the Anchor as the “Sub Menu Trigger” that is why when you tap the top links it’s open the sub-menu and can’t navigate to there respective pages, on other navigation elements there is the Sub Menu Trigger option where you can choose if the trigger is the entire anchor or just the Sub Indicator (chevron icon). Unfortunately, the Inline Navigation element does not have this option.

As a UX best practice (especially considering touch devices), it’s usually better to reserve the top level menu item as just a toggle to reveal additional links. Take a look at Stripe for example, and how they handle clicking their top level items: https://stripe.com/

We have a feature request open to make the menu expand from the indicator, but this could lead to frustration if you accidentally tap the link instead of the icon. You could also have users who just click the link and never realize there’s additional content.

I’ve added this as a feature request so it can be taken into consideration for future development.

2.) I can’t replicate the second issue, the sub-menus indicator (chevron arrow) works just fine on my end, it reveals the sub-menu. If you need to adjust the indicator you can do so, please see the Sub Indicator’s width option.

Cheers!
