Header logo creating overlay

Hi

If you click on the logo, it causes a semi transparent overlay on my site.

I’ve also noticed that this is happening on any image which is hyperlinked.

Please can you advise why this is happening?

Thank you

Hi Danielle,

It seems that you are experiencing a plugin conflict. For some reason clicking every link triggers a Javascript library called FancyBox which is showing a modal on your website. The content of the modal is the website itself!

So naturally there is a conflict or a custom script problem. Please kindly follow the steps below:

  1. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  2. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the X > Theme Options.
  3. Change the Child Theme to parent theme to test if the customization that you have done on your Child Theme is not the issue.

kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case if you still have problems.

Thank you.

Thank you - I have found the plugin conflict in NetGen Gallery - there was a setting which was applying the lightbox feature to all images on the site?! I’ve adjusted it and now it’s working as it should be - thank you

We’re glad you’ve sorted it out and thank you for sharing the solution with us.

Cheers!
