Header Issues in IE

Hello there,

I’m using pro and have some header-issues with Internet Explorer on my site. The Logo-Image is too big and the menu-text layout is messed up: Most sub-items are centered instead of left.

Chrome and Firefox work fine.

Also on older versions of iOS in Safari the header image does’t show.

Thanks!

Hey Patrick,

Please try setting your image’s width to 100%.

For your menu, try settign the Top Link’s Flex Layout Horizontal to Start. Do the same for the Sub Links as well.

If that does not help, please give us access to your WordPress admin in a Secure Note so we could check your setup.

Thanks.

Thank you!

This fixed the image size but didn’t affect the menu alignment. Also the image is still not visible in Safari on iPhone 4 (iOS 9.3.5) Chrome and Firefox works.

Hi Patrick,

Thank you for the credentials, but I can’t enter your admin dashboard, its giving me this error.

It seems you’re redirecting a lot of resources from your site.

Regarding the sub link navigation issue, please set the Sub Links’ Horizontal option to Start as well.

Regarding the missing images issue, please do a testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Cheers!

Thanks! I made the changes to the sublinks. I can test it tomorrow since i have no IE on my Mac.

Concerning the Image: I deactivated all third party plugins. Without effect.

Cheers

Hey Patrick,

I checked your image in IE and I don’t see any issue. It size stays within the container (see secure note).

Would you mind giving more details and screenshots?

Thanks.

Thank you!

So it seems your instruction regarding the sub link navigation issue did the trick. Thank you.

Regarding the header image: This issue appears only in Safari on iOS. (I’m using 9.3.5 and don’t know how it looks on newer devices…). Chrome and Firefox do look ok.

Based on your screenshot, the image didn’t load. Please try clearing your browser cache and if you have browser extensions, please deactivate them for testing. Also try rebooting your device.

Thanks.

Thanks for your answer.
Tried all suggestions. Issue remains.

Hi @Unterhuber

I’ve checked this issue again and I can see that Safari has a problem loading these images:

I suspect this is because of the special characters (ä, ü), so try to change these images files names and recheck this issue.

Thanks.

Hi @Alaa!

your suspicion was correct. thank you very much! That solved it!

have a great day!

Hi @Unterhuber,
