Header/Footer Background Color

I’ve updated this client’s site to the latest X theme and for some reason can’t remember how to change the Header and Footer background color. I’m not using ‘Pro’ on this site so I am not able to use the Header Footer designer.
As you can maybe tell, I’m moving from a site that was dark to a lighter site.

Thanks for writing in.

The backgrounds are default color applied through CSS, you can only change it through CSS too. Please add this CSS to your global custom CSS with your preferred color.

}
.x-colophon {
background-color: #cccccc;
}
