Header change for Category News

Hello,

For our website https://www.bluetector.com we have Category News in English and in German.

The header is not working properly in the English version of our website on the page News, here the header switches to the German version: https://www.bluetector.com/category/news

Is there a way to show the English menu on this specific page?

Hi @davidpdin,

I checked the website and found out that the German version is the main domain and the /en/ folder will be the English version. I clicked the Flags at the top right section to rich that conclusion.

Having that in mind the URL below is the German version:

And naturally, the English version should be:

But it is not and it redirects to this URL:

So there is a problem regarding the permalinks of your website which is not related to our theme. You can test that by changing the theme to another one and you will see the same problem.

You need to seek expert help to find out what is the problem with your setup, but here what I suggest you check:

  • Delete the page that you have with the slug of news as it seems it interferes with the news category archive page.
  • Go to Settings > Pernalinks and save the permalink again to make sure that the permalink cache will be purged.
  • Follow the official instructions of the WPML plugin.
