Header Builder - Navigation Secondary Text for menu item

Hey there!

I was wondering how the secondary text feature works in navigations. I turned it on but I can’t find the place where to enter the text that I want to be displayed. Is this something that has to be done in the wordpress menu or is it something hidden somewhere in the header builder?

Would be great if you could help me out here, thanks!

Umberto

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

Yes, the secondary text is the text you added in your menu description in Admin > Appearance > Menus. You can only enable and style it in the builder, but you should edit your menu for the texts.

Hope this helps.

Hi Umberto,

Thanks for writing in! The secondary text can be added in Apearrance > Menus. Find your menu and edit the menu items. You will need to insert a menu description which would be the secondary text.

Hope this helps.

Yep - that’s what I was looking for! Thank you!

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.

I had the description not showing because of the wordpress settings for the Menu Admin page. Maybe that’s something, that others might need to know as well. You have to turn description to visible in order to see it in the menu items.
