my bottom header bar overlaps my content. I’d like to find a way to display my button without the transparent bar overlapping my content and making it unaccessable.

Thank you for writing in, please inspect your bottom bar and adjust its z-index
Increase it if you want to layer it above the content, decrease if you want it below the content.

I think that is not the issue here, the button smoothly transitions to its pressed state, without being pressed. Please check again

Your button is linked to kontakt section. As soon as you scroll the page and the kontakt section displays in the viewport, the button becomes in active state which is why it looks as if if has been hovered.
