Header assignment for product category

Hi! I’m trying to assign a header for WooCommerce archive layout, for all categories. I just can’t get it working.

Maybe you could have a look?

In cornerstone the layout in question can be found at:
WOOCOMMERCE ARCHIVE --> Category Layout

It should have the header called “Govt burger header” assigned to it in but now it’s showing “Govt burger header bg”.

Thanks for writing to us.

I tried to access your site dashboard but the given login details are not working on my end. In order to assign the Header layout to the WooCommerce category archive layout I would suggest you go to the Header layout —>settings —>conditions —>set the condition Product taxonomy is category.

Thank you, however even with that condition, it still shows the wrong header (with background color) in the frontend. Maybe some conditions in the other header are overriding it? or priority. I updated the login details, I hope they work now!

Hi @Minna,

I have checked and found that the condition was wrongly added as And it should be Or. Also, the priority needs to be set less than the other headers. I have set the condition and now it showing as expected.

Thank you, really appreciate it. I have a same issue with assigning the header with dark background to “Search results - is being viewed”. What am I doing wrong? The search results just has the transparent header instead.

Hello @Minna,

I am seeing these conditions:

The one with a -1 will override the other custom header. Try to set them with the same priority number if your conditions will work.

I tried to change the priority, and it didn’t work. Search results still showed the wrong header. I then changed the priority as it was before and now it shows the wrong header in all the pages that used to show correctly earlier.

Please switch the priority from -1 to 1.

It doesn’t work, switching like that it then shows the header with background on pages assigned to show the transparent background.

Can we update the Pro theme to the latest version first? You are still using the Pro 6.2.2 and the latest version is Pro theme 6.3.9. Kindly let us know how it goes.

I updated Pro and no affect. I changed priority to same, and tried different priorities too, but still the search results page won’t show the header with background color.

Let us first stay on the original issue here which is “Header assignment for product category”. I checked a product category and it’s using the “Govt burger header” not the “Govt burger header bg” (see details in the secure note). Is that not the case on your end?

Yes, it shows the correct header on the category page at the moment. Should I create a new topic for getting the headers to work correctly on other pages? Such as the search results and shop product pages. Where it shoud be showing the header with background.
