hi support team,

I started this thread and my reply took too long so it was closed but I’d like to gon on working on it.

Your code and suggested adjustments in the child theme worked perfectly. With your solution the footer menu went above the footer content text, wich is great.But that was not exactly what I meant. What I want is that this menu is placed in the colophon-top. Is there a way to do that?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Please be advised that colophon top is intended for the footer widget areas. You may enable the footer widget area instead in X > Theme Options > Footers and go to Appearance > Widgets so that you can insert the menu widget.

Thank you! I did that now. Just wanted to spare me the work of adjusting the footer widget layout, because I liked the layout of the X footer menu. But now it works!
