Header and Footer not showing on "Nothing to Show Right Now"

Hey team,

I have a custom header and footer for my site, however, it’s work on every page on posts, else if someone searches for some queries and can’t find anything, header and footer not showing on that page.

here is the screenshot of that:

ACTUAL HEADER

SEARCH BUT NOT FOUND PAGE HEADER

The same also applied for footer too!

Hi Saswata,

The header in question is not set as global and that is what it does not show on the not found result page.

Please kindly go to Pro > Headers > The Header in Question and set it as the global header:

kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case if you still have problems.

Thank you.

Hey, @christopher.amirian I already make it global still the issue, persists. Can you please look into my dashboard?

Thanks and Much Appreciable.

Hey Saswata,

This could be a result of a plugin conflict or custom function overriding the header assignment because I tested in my site first to determine if this is a bug but it’s not happening in my site.

Please switch to the parent theme and also test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If that doesn’t help, please keep the parent theme enabled and third-party plugins disabled. If this cannot be done in your live site, copy your site to a staging server and give us staging access.

Thanks.

Hey @christian_y

  1. I tried deactivating all the plugin and check the issue is persists or not, but sadly it was there.
  2. I tried to move back to the parent theme and again deactivated the plugins, but the issue is still there.

As I saw the tutorial there is lot to do, if you can debug the issue quickly you can deactivate our plugins and move to parent theme.
But it is not possible for me to deactivate all these and waiting for your application, as waiting is quite long, it is tough to run the site without plugin and some custom functions.

It is much appreciable if you quickly determined the issue.

For you references, we used only two custom function, one is to hide the date, and other for parallax effect, here is the link of that for that: https://benryan.com.au/themeco-full-width-parallax-featured-image/

Hello Saswata,

I am another staff checking in your issue. I have logged in and I found out that you actually did not assign the header as your global header.

I went ahead and made your header as the global header.

Please check out the error 404 pages now.

That’s great @RueNel some kind of relief, and yeah I also do that for my footer, and now all good.
Thanks again, Mate.

You are most welcome.
