Header and Button issues on iOS versions 10 and below

Hey There,

Having a big issue with the display of the header and buttons on one of my sites.

The website/page is: https://mitral-valve-help-3.patientevolution.com/mitral-valve-help-3/

See screenshot below:

https://mitral-valve-help-3.patientevolution.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Screen-Shot-2018-07-12-at-2.19.06-PM.png

Not sure why this is happening, again, the only place I observe this issue is on iOS versions 10 and lower.

Obviously, this is a huge problem, as many people do not fully update their OS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi @podii

I’ve checked your website on iPad 2 with iOS 9.3 and this is how I can see it:

Did you check your website on a simulator or real device?

Thanks.

Hi @Alaa

I tested this on a real iPad running iOS 8.1 and observed the issue i have shown above.

I just retested as well and am having the same issue.

Thanks in advance for your help!

@Alaa

I must apologize, my original comment was slightly incorrect. The webpage is displaying without issue on iOS version 9+, however, below version 9, it is still a problem.

Thanks!

Hi @podii

Thanks for updating the thread, so I understand that the problem occurs only with devices on iOS version less than 9, which is very very small percentages of devices if you checked these two resources:

https://developer.apple.com/support/app-store/

We are talking about 0.63% of iOS devices, this isn’t the main problem here actually, but the problem is that we can’t even configure a simulator on Xcode to reproduce this issue, as iOS version 8 isn’t supported by Apple in Xcode any more, check this screenshot:

iOS 9.3 is the latest supported version to run a simulator, I couldn’t find a way to run this old version of iOS on a recent device, hence I couldn’t reproduce this issue, I believe with this small percentage of the currently devices with this version, upgrading the software tends to be a must to avoid such issues, of course along with patching all these security holes in that old software.

Thanks.

Thanks so much for your informative reply!

You can go ahead and close the thread.

On behalf of my colleague, you’re welcome. Cheers!
